What Do You Think Of Brandon Scott Saying You Must Get Good Grades To Buy Video Games From His Store?
i just saw on CNN that he decided to implement a program for his store. A student must show that they have good grades to buy video games from his store.
He also says that in his store they must have 1)Good grades 2)No cussing 3) Pull pants up (no saggy pants) He also offers a free video game for students that recieve straight A’s.
He says that he know that he will loose money, but he wanted to be a part of the “village” that help produce positive young people.
What do you think about this?
I think that is a brilliant idea. If you punish kids for bad grades and reward them for good ones then kids will try harder to get good grades. I remember a pizza place used to give you free pizza if you read a certain amount of pages in a month but I think they’ve stopped. I hope more places adopt those rules.
Which store does he own?
:Edit:
Thanks for sending me the link. It was an interesting read. That being said, I think it’s great he’s doing that. Promoting good grades and studying is something I wouldn’t expect an owner to do. He is losing some money ,but it proves the stereotype wrong that people like that are always money hungry.
@ Boo!, I believe that was Pizza Hut.
That’s a good idea but it probably won’t stop some parents for buying it for them. Sad but true
too bad most parents do not hold their children accountable for their grades and conduct.
