Why Do Some Kids Just Stop Being Interested In Video Games?

It seems like kids are interested in video games more when they are like 12-15 then when kids start turning like 16 they lose the interest in them and are more interested in finding jobs, going to the right colleges…. I MEAN REALLY COMON theyr’e only 16!!! But i’m not saying all teenagers are like this, its just i’m 15, and everyone i know pretty much has just lost most of their interest in video games.

What Can I Do About My Kids Addiction To Internet Gaming, But They Need The Internet To Study.?

I have two children, 12 and 14, and they both have their own laptops. With the way schools are heading, kids almost require internet access for studies. The problem is that my kids are playing games more than they’re studying and their grades are suffering severely.
We can’t ALWAYS be there to monitor what both of my kids are doing on the internet, and with our jobs, we can’t drive them back and forth to a library so many times.
Since internet access is a requirement for scholarly studies, how can I block access to internet games and computer games without blocking the use of internet for study?
I don’t want to completely deprive them of fun time, but limiting the amount of time or scheduling would be desireable.
Please know that my son is very computer savvy and can find ways around certain parental controls.
Is there a program that I can use that will start upon bootup so that my son can’t mess with the configurations?

There are so many online games for kids under the age of 13! You can go to www.Neopets.com and they can create their own pet to take care of. You can choose which pet you want, give him/her a name, and decide what they like to do. Your pet will never die, but if you forget to take care of it, it gets very hungry, and it will get very sad so you have to make sure you feed it, and play games with it. You earn Neopoints when you play games, and you need to use those points to buy it food, and toys. You can get free food, but only if you have less than 3000 NP.
When you go on it asks for the kids age, and they choose which games are best for kids in that age group. It is a lot of fun! I’m 18 and I still play on it.
