it not fun to play in the heat ( im a 12 year old myself )
play an indoor game with them board games
too much video games are bad for eyes
distarct them take them for shoppin or a picnic
Its ok to let hem play video games for some of the day but you have to set limits as to how long they are alowwed to play.
A lot of the time kids end up playing video games or watching tv if they are bored so why don’t you help them to find other fun things to do.
Organise days out, depending on how old they are maybe you could take them on a picnic or take them swimming, or even take them out for lunch as a treat.
Do they have bikes? Get yourself a bike, put them on the car and drive to a cycle route and make a day of family cycling.
Take them to ice skating or to the park to play on the swings.
If they are older ask them what they would like to do or where they would like to go.
Allow them to bring a friend to the house to play with them
Let them build a treehouse or let them go camping (even in the back garden)
Invest in a swingset, slide, trampoline
Depending on money book a family holiday
Suggest going on a walk
Get them to do chores for pocket money.
Get a dog so they can take the dog on walks or play with the dog in the garden.
Or just hide the video games and tell them to find something else to do
when I’m in to video games and can’t stop playing the game my mom tells me to get of the game, as you probaly noticed that definitly dosn’t work. So most of the time, when she has time, she brings me to a party with familly, or friends of the family, sometimes over to a pool, other times over to the mall, or to the YMCA. Yet you could be the type who works on the weekdays and for advice on those day it is going to be really hard to get your kidds off of video games expecially in 90 degree weather. If you bring them to a friends house they will probaly just go to the video games once they got there. so in the end my advice is let them play there video game untill they get boared with the game or with all the games that usally stops me unless i had internet. Good luck though.
Take them to the swimming-pool or something like that, i. e. somewhere new, that makes fun and where they can later go themselves, again and again. That way there is something new that makes fun and where they have only enough time to go to on holidays, especially the summer holidays – the video games won’t run away. They should enjoy it and willingly get away from the consoles.
Well if there young children there much easier to trick, you can go outside and play with the pet dog and look like your having lots of fun, or go buy some nice recipies and bring them home for the kids to cook, thats a nice thing to get them into.. Try leaving all the blinds and windows open for them to get the feel of outside, maybe if there stubborn whip the vaccum out and work around them, theyl get annoyed but it probably wont completely do the trick, there just some ideas anyway..
Hope they work, goodluck!
you need to be firm and tell them there going to be new rules about the game machines that your making a rule that for two hours a day they need to go out side and do something anything but be in side be the mom not something the step over to get to the machines , unless it storm or raining there no reason for them to be in side all day next time they beg for a new game or item don’t buy it tell them until you see them out side more no more games well be bought .
Edit : omg is that all 90 out shoot we was made to go out side all the time in the summer thast what shade trees are for , water hose buy water guns , water toys unless you live in a big city with no lawns or trees then you well have to take them to the pool or get out side fun ideas you should have sent them to a summer camp be for school starts
Well when it is that hot out side i reccomend you should get them a slip n’ slide or a pool membership or take them to a water park. There is a lot of things you can do in side too you can get them books to read make crafts…so on. And its always fun to go to the park. =]
hope this helps
Get with the times. If your kids aren’t illiterate doughy slobs then there isn’t much reason for them not to be playing video games if they enjoy them. Keep in mind it’s summer VACATION. Forcing kids to do things only lowers their opinion of that activity.
My kids do that but we have a games room so what i do is i lock the doors then we go swimming in our pool but its inside! Then they read and watch t.v and then do chores just what you do force them to do it because otherwise they won’t do it!
Happy Summer
i’m not far off being a child myself, it’s hard these days to get kids out and off the games consoles, try going for a day out to a park or something, set up a picnic and take a football, they’re the things i enjoyed growing up
I let them play educational computer games and I take them to the park and the library alot. we also go to the pool.
Apart from not getting enough exercises, I do not see any reason not to play video games all day. If you think it’s too hot outside, then let them stay indoors until it gets cooler.
hide the video games. simple and effective. once they know they are not available, they will find something else to do.
well as a kid of 15 years i think you should put them on a team on which sport they like thats what got me off of video games or take to a game nearby on what sport they like
Unplug the games and take them swimming.
hide the video games and give them sports lessons
Don’t let them enjoy theirselves
takethe games .. say u dont no where they went.. take them to a pool or something
tell them u r going to buy them if thay stop playing.
