What Causes Me To Disconnect From Online Games And Ventrilo When People Get On My Network?

I use a WRT54GS Linksys wireless router. Every time that someone gets on the network I get disconnected from what I am doing. Like when my roommate comes home and turns on his laptop and connects to the network, it disconnects me from whatever I am on ie: online games and ventrilo servers etc. There are only two other people that use the network but they happen to turn their computers on and off a lot. Anyone know why this is and if there is a solution to this?

I have my Wii connected to the internet but I dont know how to play online games? I cant figure out where to go on the menu to play the games. I have Wii Fit, which is the main one I’d like to play, but also I have Tiger Woods and the generic Wii Sport games. Well lets see i love to video game but when i do that my grades go down. And when i dont play video games then i just get really bored and then theres nothing to do and my grades go up. I would stop playing video games but i cant because i love to play them. Also i cant really balance them out cause most of the time i play 10+ hours.
